North Street Community Partners donates building to John A. Coleman School and Children’s Rehabilitation Center in White Plains
A White Plains school and rehab center was saved today by its landlord, and blessed by the Archbishop of New York, Cardinal Timothy Dolan.
Landlord North Street Community Partners donated the building to the John A. Coleman School and Children's Rehabilitation Center. The center had previously been renting the space.
"We've had many threats where our program would have closed, and if it weren't for the generosity of the North Street Community Partners, we wouldn't be here today, and we serve over 5,000 children on this campus," says Pat Tursi, CEO of the school.
The rehab center and school had already been housed in the building for the last four years, so the transition should be smooth for everyone involved.
Cardinal Dolan called the multimillion-dollar donation miraculous.
