North Castle police are warning residents that there has been an uptick in Social Security scams.

The say scammers are calling people to tell them they are eligible to receive an increase in their social security checks.

Police urge residents not to share any information with them. They say residents should report any scams to the Office of the Inspector General under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
