No verdict yet in Yonkers teacher's sex-abuse trial
Jurors left the Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains today without a verdict in the sex abuse trial of a Yonkers high school teacher. Dean Martin, a computer teacher at Saunders Trades and Technical High School, is accused of changing grades and attendance records, and sexually assaulting some of his students. He faces 35 charges and jurors say they need more computer records and student testimony. Prosecutors say Martin modified students' records from Sept. 2005 through Jan. 2010. Students who testified against him say he kissed and hugged them until his advances became increasingly sexual. However, his attorney says the students stole his computer password and altered the records themselves. He has since been suspended from the school. The jurors are set to reconvene on Mon., Dec. 12.Yonkers teacher's sex-abuse trial goes to jurySaunders H.S. teacher headed to trial in sex-abuse case
