No verdict yet in Yonkers teacher's sex abuse case
Nearly one week into deliberations, a jury has not yet reached a verdict in the case of a Yonkers teacher who stands accused of sexually abusing his students. Dean Martin is accused of abusing several boys at Saunders High School. Prosecutors say Martin even changed their grades in an attempt to win their affections. The defense counters that the teens made the story up after they were caught changing their own grades with Martin's stolen computer password. Yesterday, the judge dismissed a third alternate juror on the case. If one more alternate juror and a regular juror get dismissed, the judge may have to call for a new trial.
