News 12's Nadia Galindo returned from Texas, one of the nation's COVID-19 hot spots, and is now in self-quarantine.
She is working from home and shared her experience.
She says she flew to Dallas with her husband and daughter to visit family last week.
"When we were leaving the airport to come back to New York, we were given a form to fill out - one per family - so that form wasn't collected until we left the terminal at LaGuardia heading to baggage claim," she says.
She said there was a box people had to drop the form in, and they weren't contacted by the city or the state for a week.
"Yesterday, I finally got a robocall informing me that I had traveled to a state with high infection rates and that I should stay home for two weeks in self-quarantine," says Galindo.
