People in Newburgh are rallying to help the fiancée of a Rockland Marine killed in a military plane crash in Mississippi.
The Cherry Top Dairy Bar, on Route 32 in Newburgh, is holding a fundraiser on Sunday to help their former employee, Jenn Mathias.
Mathias was engaged to Marine Sgt. Owen Lennon. He was one of 16 service members killed in the crash last week.
Ice cream stand workers say they are devastated  and want to help. "We just thought we should do some type of gesture to let her know we're thinking about her and give her our support," says Carolyn Best, of the Cherry Top Dairy Bar.
The fundraiser is being held from noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday. A dollar from each sale will be donated to Mathias.
