Newburgh mayor starts task force to address gun violence

Mayor Torrance Harvey announced this week that he’s creating a Mayor’s Anti-Gun Violence Task Force made up of religious leaders and community members, according to Newburgh Chief of Staff Michael Neppl.

The city of Newburgh mayor is taking a new approach to fight the city’s rise in gun violence.
Mayor Torrance Harvey announced this week that he’s creating a Mayor’s Anti-Gun Violence Task Force made up of religious leaders and community members, according to Newburgh Chief of Staff Michael Neppl.
News 12 is told the task force is in the early planning stages and that the effort will be a collaboration to stop gun-related crime.
