Salon owners say they are concerned after Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced their businesses can reopen in Phase 2.
Salon owner Carmela Kinnally wants the government to do more to reopen businesses like hers, which is Fine Men's Salon of Westchester.
Nicole Pocchii from Cutting Edge Hair Salon in Jefferson Valley says she feels like there is no end in sight for stylists right now and the salon industry is struggling, along with other small businesses.
Cuomo has voiced concerns about being able to social distance in a salon, but owners and stylist say they have the proper tools to keep their customers safe.
Pocchii also says as a stylist, they already have training in sanitizing and are ready to take all the necessary precautions when reopening the salon.
