New York Rangers return to Greenburgh training facility to clean out their lockers
The New York Rangers cleaned out their lockers at the Madison Square Garden training facility in Greenburgh Monday after losing their bid for the Stanley Cup to the Los Angeles Kings last week.
The Eastern Conference champs lost three overtime games in L.A. over the course of the five-game series.
"We all feel like we put everything out there as a group," said goalie Henrik Lundqvist. "Every player did their part to help this team to win. Of course, we wish things had gone differently in the end, but we played against a really good team."
Many players described this year's team as being the closest group they had ever been a part of.
The Rangers will have many off-season questions to answer, including whether or not to buy out Brad Richards' contract.
