Doctors urge men to get screened during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
10h agoThe U.S. Food and Drug Administration has rolled back a decades-long rule keeping gay and bisexual men from donating blood.
New guidelines say all potential donors will be screened with a revamped questionnaire to determine any risks for HIV. However, the change won't take effect immediately in New York.
The New York Blood Center says it’s being developed right now, but will take time to get all systems and staff up to speed.
There is no timeline as to when the changes will go into effect.
