Three young Chinese girls are set to reunite with their aunt in the Hudson Valley this weekend.

Two years ago, a car accident in China killed the girls' mother and left their father confined to a hospital bed with severe brain damage.

Their aunt, New Windsor’s Suki Chen, has been trying for over a year to get her nieces' Visas approved so they could live with her.

"All I want is to take care of those children," Chen told News 12 in January 2017. "All I want is to bring them to the United States.”

After 18 months, Chen says her nieces' applications were approved.

The mother of four is leaving Saturday to reunite with the girls and bring them to her home. She says she feels her sister-in-law will finally be able to rest in peace.

"I can tell her I can take care of them now," Chen said.

Chen, a nail salon owner in Cornwall, is also thanking the community and her customers for their support and says she plans on bringing the girls to her salon for everyone to meet.
