New Rochelle teen lives after falling from 5th-floor apartment
A New Rochelle teen is lucky to be alive after plunging five stories from a balcony at her apartment building.
Residents at the Faymor Gardens complex on Pelham Road told News 12 there are rumors that the 13-year-old girl got into a fight with her mother, then jumped off the family's fifth-floor terrace.
Investigators say the eighth-grader at Isaac Young Middle School was lucky to land on a grassy area instead of nearby concrete. She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx with what may be broken bones in her feet and legs.
Police say they are not releasing any details because of the girl's age, but add they are still investigating the case.
