Parents in New Rochelle are on alert Tuesday after a couple in a van approached a child.
According to police, a green van with a woman driver and a man in the passenger seat pulled up in front of a house near Argyll Avenue Police say the 9-year-old girl, who was playing in her front yard, ran to the side of the house when the van approached. They say the van followed her and then the man got out and walked over to the child. The young girl then ran inside her home.
Parents say the incident makes them nervous and say they will take extra safety precautions to keep their children safe. Anyone with information about the incident should contact New Rochelle police at (914) 654-2300.
