New Rochelle man charged for alleged 'teen' sex chats
A New Rochelle man known in the community as a children?s advocate faces charges for allegedly engaging in sexual Internet chats with a police officer posing as a teenage girl.
Investigators say Frank Pasquale set up a meeting with the decoy in Connecticut Thursday afternoon when police busted him.
Pasquale ran for the New Rochelle school board last year. He?s on the New Rochelle Youth Bureau, has taught religious education and was on the PTA at his daughter?s school.
A spokesperson from the New Rochelle School District would not comment on the situation, but emphasized Pasquale has not been employed by the school board at any time.
Pasquale?s $500,000 bail was reduced to $20,000 Friday. He posted it and was released. He is due back in court Feb. 1 in Connecticut Superior Court.
