New Rochelle High School’s Class of 2020 accepted their diplomas at a drive-thru graduation today.
The 675 seniors received their hard-earned diplomas and are grateful to have made it through.
"It's definitely a really weird experience just because who would ever imagine walking and having a graduation like this,” said one graduate.
Seniors like Laura Valencia were really excited and said the experience was like none other.

"I think it was almost more fun than a regular graduation,” said one senior.
A month ago, the ceremony seemed impossible for New Rochelle’s Class of 2020 amid the pandemic.
The city had been the first in the nation to establish a containment zone, with the high school being inside of the zone.
"At first it was hard to adjust because who has ever done online classes in high school?” explained one senior.
Now that distance learning has come to an end, the graduation marks an end of an unforgettable school year.
"Today feels like just a rejuvenation, just the beginning as we celebrate our graduates who have been through so much,” says Dr. Laura Feijoo, superintendent of New Rochelle City School District.
