A New Rochelle firefighter has been released from the hospital after 55 days on a ventilator.
Family, friends and fellow firefighters welcomed Deputy Chief John Reed as he was released from Danbury Hospital in Connecticut.
Reed had been fighting COVID-19 for nearly two months.
He still has a long road to recovery but firefighters say his survival feels like a miracle.
