A ceremony was held in New Rochelle on Memorial Day to honor the nation's service members.
The event was held at Glen Island Park.
Thousands of people attended the event, and participated in silent prayer to remember those who lost their lives fighting for the country.
Some of the people who came to the event had relatives who fought in previous wars. Other people said it was important to teach children what a veteran stands for.
