A New Rochelle artist has her work flying over Rockefeller Center to help New Yorkers in need.
Vittoria Gallello's oil painting and collage is part of the fourth annual Flag Project at the Rockefeller Center.
It's a collaboration with food rescue organization City Harvest.
Gallello's artwork is inspired by iconic New York City staples -- pizza and bagels.
She says it's a surreal moment to see her work now flying over the heart of the city.
"I was shocked, I mean especially being a suburban girl, going to Rockefeller Center every year with my grandparents to see the Rockettes and to see the tree, it's sort of like a full-circle moment for me as an adult,” she says.
This year's theme commemorates New York City dining in many forms.
The Flag Project is free and open for the public to see until April 30.
