New Paltz police say a person was found dead after a preliminary investigation revealed that they climbed under the trailer of a truck without the driver knowing on Thursday.

New Paltz police say a person was found dead after a preliminary investigation revealed that they climbed under the trailer of a truck without the driver knowing on Thursday.
They say just before 4 p.m., officers responded to a reported vehicle-pedestrian accident in the area of the Wallkill Bridge.
Officers say a person was found dead at the scene. They say the person climbed under the trailer while the truck was stopped in traffic.
The driver was interviewed by officers and no charges were filed.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 845-255-1357.
