The mural is part of a $2 million public art project from the Yonkers Housing Authority.

8ds agoThe City of Yonkers unveiled Thursday a new mural in honor of Yonkers hip-hop legend Mary J. Blige.
The artwork stands at the Palisade Towers on Schroeder Street.
It includes two other mural tributes for other well known Yonkers residents, including the late rapper Earl "DMX" Simmons and jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald.
