A new demolition date has been set for the old Tappan Zee Bridge.
The bridge was set to come down at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, but due to weather the demolition was moved to Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m.
Tappan Zee construction workers say they had to reschedule because high winds kept them from adequately preparing.
Business owners tell News 12 say the rescheduling is unfortunate because thousands of people were expected to watch, and the river towns were expecting an uptick in tourism.
They say they're only expecting about 10 percent of the crowds to watch the rescheduled demolition.
Restaurant owners say they have to cancel food owners and change staff.
Piermont Police Chief Mike O'Shea says he's anticipating a good turnout despite the change.
There will be road closures in the area during the demolition on Tuesday.
