Some parents at Woodglen Elementary School in New City say they found hypodermic needles and drugs on the school's ballfield Thursday.
They say they called police, who searched the park Thursday and Friday and found more needles and narcotics.
"They were walking around and picking up things and putting them in a collection basket," says David Rizzos, a parent who can see the schoolyard from his home. "God forbid a child could get stuck with a needle. They're young and curious, and it could be a problem."
Police are asking the public to report suspicious activity on school grounds before or after the school day.
They also say they'll be conducting extra surveillance.
