Neighbors say the grounds of an illegal yeshiva camp in Cornwall appear to still be in use.
A number of families and children were spotted on the Camp Yeddim property last weekend. News 12 is told Camp Yeddim was fined last year and taken to court by the town for illegally operating.
Neighbors on Boulder Avenue say despite the shutdown orders and restrictions on gatherings, the grounds still appear to be in use by people other than the owners.
"In their mind, they're running a camp. So when I see it going on…I'm fighting a summer camp and now apparently a fall-spring camp also or a weekend getaway,” says James Helbig, of Cornwall.
Cornwall officials tell News 12 they are aware of the situation and are considering further legal action against the facility.
News 12 reached out to Camp Yeddim for comment but has not heard back as of yet.
