Neighbors: Explosives found at Half Moon Bay Townhouses in Croton-on-Hudson; police have not confirmed
Police spent much of the day Saturday scouring a gated community in Croton-on-Hudson, where explosives may have been discovered.
People living at Half Moon Bay Townhouses say at least three buildings in the complex were evacuated at around 10 a.m., and residents have no idea when they will be able to return home. Witnesses claim the chaos started with a small fire that led to a much bigger discovery.
Most neighbors believe explosives were discovered in the basement of one of the townhomes. One person told News 12 that a small family lives inside the home in question.
Other unconfirmed reports claim the police presence could have been the result of a meth lab that got discovered.
News 12 reached out to multiple authorities throughout the day, but did not receive a response.
