Need for donations rises as holidays approach

With the holiday season approaching, charities in the Bronx will be in need of donations.
Many groups and charity organizations across the borough will be holding food drives and searching for volunteers to help out the thousands of Bronx residents in need.
POTS, a nonprofit, is asking for healthy food items such as oatmeal, peanut butter, whole grains, brown rice and whole grain pasta. It is trying to avoid certain foods such as soups and ramen noodles.
