A Nanuet man was found dead by his 8-year-old son.
Ronald Means, 40, was discovered by his son, who then ran to a deli for help. Deli owner Favi Rodriquez says her husband then called police.
Police say they believe that Means died of natural causes inside the apartment. Neighbors say that Means was in and out of the hospital in recent weeks, but no one knew that he was close to death.
Neighbor Leonard Williams says that Means was a good man who cherished the relationship he had with his son, who he called "Junior."
News 12 is told the young boy is being cared for by family members.
There is no word yet on funeral plans for Means.
