It was quiet in Mount Vernon Sunday morning - but a major storm is brewing.
The coastal storm hitting Sunday night through Tuesday morning is bringing heavy snow with a chance for damaging winds and coastal flooding,
A winter storm warning has been issued for Westchester and other parts of the Hudson Valley.
The village of Ossining declared its own snow emergency Sunday morning, and is not allowing cars to park on certain streets.
Residents were encouraged to finish up any shopping ahead of the storm, and if you need to report an outage - call Con Edison, not 911.
When the snow does come, try to stay off the roads, drive very slowly if you have to be out and do not shovel snow back into the street.
