A family in Mount Vernon is grieving Thursday after losing their newborn son in a tragic freak accident. Investigators say 27-year-old Albert Roaches was sleeping in bed with his 5-day-old son, Devon, when he accidentally rolled over on top of the baby and apparently suffocated him. Reverend Clayton, who has been comforting the couple, says the community needs to rally around the mother and father, because it could happen to anyone. Mount Vernon police and the District Attorney?s office are investigating the incident. Authorities say they have found nothing of a criminal nature so no charges have been filed as of yet.
