From Marilyn Monroe posters to Batman journals and even Elvis mugs, a manufacturer that cranks out iconic pop-culture merchandise does it all right in Mount Vernon.
Erol Liguori runs Pyramid America. He gave News 12's cameras a tour of the warehouse that's part of the multibillion-dollar superhero industry. It created merchandise for one of the largest pop-culture conventions ever: New York Comic Con.
Liguori says he watched his business grow one step at a time, and most of his products are made in America.
Truckloads of merchandise head out every week, but the biggest crunch time for Pyramid America is the back-to-school rush, and the efforts to prepare start as early as January.
"We understand how important it is to have art and culture highlighted, championed and implemented here in our city," says Liguori.
