Police say a 29-year-old Mount Vernon man was shot and killed as he waited to have dinner with his wife.
The shooting took place on Second Street and Third Avenue Saturday night as Craig Patterson sat in his car. Residents of Mount Vernon say they are tired of the violence and are concerned for their safety.
Police say the murder is the ninth this year in Mount Vernon. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Mount Vernon Police Department at 914-665-2500.
