Mount Vernon man found dead in the Bronx after apparent abduction
Police found the body of a Mount Vernon man in his car Wednesday in the Bronx after an apparent kidnapping.
Mount Vernon police found 49-year-old Norman Crawford?s body in his Range Rover after he was reported kidnapped. The victim?s girlfriend, Petrolyn Barclay, told police she was awoken in her Beechwood Avenue home at 2 a.m. by a man pointing a gun at her. Barclay said the man claimed to have Crawford and demanded money before he fled the scene.
Police say the Crawford had one gunshot wound to his leg and bled to death. Investigators are trying to figure out what happened to the victim in the hours leading to his death.
