As protests continue around the league in the wake of Jacob Blake's shooting, the MLB will shift its focus to Jackie Robinson to honor the former Brooklyn Dodger for his efforts in the fight against racial injustice in baseball.
Mount Vernon's Little League team will honor Robinson on the field Friday.
The kids may be young, but they understand the importance of the day.
As baseball players around the country recognize #42, it also happens to be the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech.
