A little boy is breathing again, thanks to lifesaving efforts from Mount Vernon's bravest.
Early Sunday morning, 9-month-old Jayzon Young was found limp and without a pulse. Firefighters with the city's Engine 3 Company were called and arrived within minutes.
"Rolled the baby over, strapped the pad on the baby's back, put a pad on the baby's chest, hit the button on the AED and the AED did the rest of the work," said firefighter Anthony Mitchell.
Doctors believe Jayzon had a seizure. The child was kept in the hospital for three days and is now back home recovering.
