A freak accident claimed the life of a Mount Kisco tree cutter Saturday.
Manuel Villeda, 35, died when his hand got caught in a rope and dragged him head-first into a tree. Villeda suffered significant blunt trauma as a result of the incident.
A fellow worker alerted the homeowner, who called the authorities. Officers tried to resuscitate Villeda, but he was pronounced dead at Hudson Valley Hospital.
Police say they don?t believe Villeda was wearing any protective gear. OSHA has launched an investigation into the incident.
