A Mount Kisco family is asking for the public's help to find their beloved dog who they say was stolen from their front lawn.
The dog named Coco lived with the mother and daughter for about six months.
The owner, Lilian Morales, let the dog out Wednesday at around 12:45 p.m., stepped inside the house for a moment and when she returned, she says she saw that a person had taken her dog and drove off.
Morales said she did not get a good description of the person or the car, only that the vehicle was black.
Through an interpreter, Morales told News 12 the dog was like family and her daughter was very attached.
“It’s very sad seeing my daughter. She’s crying knowing that I really can’t do anything because someone took him,” Morales said.
Morales said she reported the theft to the New Castle police department. News 12 reached out to the department but was still waiting as of Friday night for a comment.
