Wet weather may have caused a driver to run his car off the road and into the Saw Mill River Friday.

Just before noon, the motorist drove his SUV off Saw Mill River Parkway by Executive Boulevard, possibly from the wet and slippery roads. The car ended up partially submerged after the driver narrowly missed hitting a tree.

Saw Mill River was swollen due to recent thunderstorms. Two tow trucks were needed to remove the car because of the large amount of mud.

The driver was not injured.
