It happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Echo Avenue.
The motorcyclist, Kristopher Johnson of New Rochelle, died of his injuries several hours later at Jacobi Medical Center.
The driver of the car is a New Rochelle resident who stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
