The mothers of the former Miss USA and former Miss Teen USA from New Jersey are speaking out publicly after their daughters recently resigned from their positions.
Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava, of Morris Plains, stepped down last week just two days after Miss USA Noelia Voigt resigned. Srivastava previously released a statement on social media saying she decided to resign due to her personal values no longer aligning with the direction of the organization.
The mothers of Srivastava and Voigt say they're speaking out for their daughters after alleged non-disclosure agreements. Srivastava's mother said both women were abused and bullied.
This marks the first time title holders from either pageant stepped down.
