A mother-daughter duo from Purchase is designing masks that allow everyone to express themselves.
Ellyn Greenspan and her daughter Lesley initially started designing and donating thousands of regular cloth masks to the Yonkers-based nonprofit Afya Foundation. The foundation donates medical supplies all over the world.
The Greenspans then saw the need for clear masks - and that's how their business, called Keen To Be Seen, began.
"I have a friend who has a child who is hard of hearing...and I have a friend who's a speech therapist. Everyone who's working with children...I think this is a sad time when you need to see smiles and connect with people," says Ellyn Greenspan.
The masks can be washed by hand or are machine washable in cold water if air dried.
