More doctors using online visits to stay safe during COVID-19 pandemic

More doctors are now turning to telehealth to see their patients amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Michael Ford, of the New York-Presbyterian Medical Group, told News 12 that he sees nearly all his patients through a secure app.
"It ensures me that I'm not going to give you, as my patient, anything bad,” he says. “On the other end of things, you're not going to give me anything either."

Dr. Samant Virk is the CEO of MediSprout – a secure video platform currently linking 10,000 patients with their doctors online. He says it played a critical role in keeping “our front-line medical providers healthy.”
"Medical offices are trying to triage their in-person visits to virtual care so it's changing the conversation," he says.
