Monsey family asks public to help care for sick boy
A Monsey family is asking the public for assistance to help care for a little boy born with a rare lung disease.
Fourteen-month-old Simon was born with a rare disease called hypoplasia. His lungs are underdeveloped, and he's had a hard time breathing for his entire life.
His parents, who now live in Monsey, have four other children and are in a constant struggle to pay for his basic medical care.
His family and friends have taken to the Internet to raise money to give Simon the help he needs. The money would go toward things that insurance is not covering.
The family has already raised $75,000, but they say they need more. They are asking the public to open up their hearts to help a special boy live a normal life.
