A Monroe College employee and two kids are dead after their vehicle rolled into a Connecticut pond on the Fourth of July.
According to police, the accident occurred when Michelle McIntosh, a financial aid advisor for the New Rochelle college, apparently got out of the vehicle in Bridgeport. At that point, investigators say the van started rolled down a hill. Police say 39-year-old McIntosh ran and jumped back into the van as it was moving toward the water.
The Bridgeport Police Department's scuba team eventually got the four occupants out of the vehicle, which was submerged in 15 to 20 feet of water near the Beardsley Zoo.
Police say McIntosh, her 2-year-old son David and her friend?s 3-year-old daughter, Julia Boyd, died later at the hospital. McIntosh's 6-year-old nephew, Jayden Wilson, who was in critical condition, succumbed to his injuries Thursday.
