Mamaroneck police have launched an investigation after money disappeared from a police evidence locker.

Investigators say on Jan. 10., tens of thousands of dollars were stolen from a locker located in the detective bureau on the second floor of police headquarters. Police officers, municipal workers and the public have access to the second floor of the building.

The village police are working with the Westchester District Attorney?s Office to find out how the money disappeared and who may have taken it.
