Westchester teenagers were honored Monday for giving back to their communities in Martin Luther King Jr.'s spirit.
The African American Men of Westchester organization honored seven students at their 18th annual Legacy Youth Awards Luncheon.
Student Nia Whitaker says she gained invaluable educational experience while volunteering.
The students say they learned not just about themselves, but about their community and King's dream of togetherness.
