A desperate search for a 6-year-old boy from New Rochelle ended miles away in White Plains.

Police say Giovanni Marin disappeared just after 12 p.m. and was found in White Plains at around 3 p.m.

He had apparently gone on an adventure for which he prepared.

"He's a very, very intelligent little boy, and he literally took two buses and he knew how to get to the City Center and to the movie theater, and he actually appeared to have packed himself a nice little bag," says White Plains Public Safety Commissioner David Chong.

Marin was spotted at the City Center, trying to buy a ticket for the Disney/Pixar film "Inside Out."

The boy had also intended to take another bus ride after the movie to visit his grandmother in Port Chester.
