A Metro-North train killed a man on the tracks in Tuckahoe Sunday, leaving commuters both stunned and stranded.Witnesses told police the man appeared to jump in front of the fast-moving train at the Crestwood Station, leading investigators to rule out homicide. The victim's mangled body remained covered on the tracks for several hours as detectives canvassed the scene.
Passenger Deb Durig said she and other straphangers were initially left in the dark over the incident. "They just said they were waiting for a different signal, but they didn't say why," said Durig.Police are not releasing the man's name pending notification of his next of kin.
