Metro-North Labor Coalition workers rally for contract
? Some members of the Metro-North Labor Coalition rallied outside the Croton Harmon train station during Tuesday morning?s rush hour to bring attention to contract negotiations.
The 30 transit workers say their patience is wearing thin because they have worked three years for Metro-North without a contract. The transit system has offered a deal that includes no pay increases for the first year followed by increases of 3 percent and 2 percent. The coalition says there are also pension issues that need to be addressed.
Members of the Metro-North Labor Coalition have held several rallies and say they don?t want to strike, but they might have to like NYC transit workers did last month.
