Two menorahs were installed Friday at the new Mario Cuomo Bridge.
One of the menorahs is facing drivers headed to Rockland and the other is greeting commuters who cross the bridge into Westchester.
The menorahs were paid for by the Chabad of Westchester and the Chabad of Nyack. They will stay lit through all eight days of Hanukkah.
Organizers say they worked for months to get permission from the governor's office for the display.
A spokesperson for the Thruway Authority says the organization tries to appease as many requests for holiday decor as possible. The Thruway Authority says it plans to install more decorations on the bridge this weekend.
