Manhattan man accused of child rape at Ardsley motel faces judge
A Manhattan man appeared in court Monday for allegedly kidnapping a Brooklyn girl and raping her at an Ardsley motel.
William Davis told news crews outside the Ardsley court he did not rape the 12-year-old over the weekend. New York City detectives say Davis snatched the girl from Brooklyn and took her to the Ardsley Acres Motel on Saw Mill River Road and raped her. They say the suspect then returned the victim to Brooklyn. Investigators say they arrested Davis at the motel.
Davis is a convicted level-three sex offender. In 1991, he was sentenced to six to 12 years in prison for sodomizing girls from 8 to 10 years old.
