The man who led police on a multi-agency manhunt in the area of State Route 31 and the Taconic State Parkway is facing a slew of charges.
Joseph Gourd, 41, of Oneonta, faces multiple charges – including attempted murder of a police officer, burglary, grand larceny, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of stolen property.
East Fishkill police say they responded to a residence for a burglary in progress on Friday afternoon. When officers arrived, they say Gourd ran, and took off in an unmarked police vehicle driving directly at officers.
Officials say Gourd continued south on the Taconic before crashing near State Route 301.
Gourd was found and taken into custody. He is due back in Town of Fishkill court on Sept. 6.
